We have a server for our computer system. Took more than a week to get all the parts in, the parts speaking to each other, installed at my house and then talking to the internet from my house instead of the computer guy's office. We got that completed yesterday. Jim's computer was put to rest. It survived long enough to transfer data to a new machine. The new machine's got clear sides so you can see the innards, and several elements have bright blue leds, so the thing lights up the room. It turns out Jim doesn't like clear sides and bright lights on his computer. I told him we could put a tea-cozy over it.
The downside is that I cleaned my home office and now can't find anything. It's in some pile or other, in the other room.
When we went over to the computer guy's place to pick up the computer, Jim told Mitchell, "You're an enabler. You enable techno junkies!" Mitchell and I looked at each other, grinned and nodded.
